What happens in a trial class

It is a real lesson, not a sales meeting. Thirty minutes with the teacher who would actually teach you.

We find out where you are

If you already play, bring your instrument and play something. If you have never touched one, that is equally fine — we will start from the beginning and you will make a sound in the first ten minutes.

You meet the teacher

The person taking your trial is the person who would teach you. Fit between student and teacher matters more than almost anything else, and it is not something you can judge from a website.

We tell you honestly what is realistic

What grade you are working at, how long progress is likely to take, and whether we are the right place for you. If we are not, we will say so.

No obligation

The trial is free. There is no fee to pay on the day, and no one will call you repeatedly afterwards. If you want to continue, tell us and we will arrange it..

Where and how

Trials run at Koramangala, at Mission Road, or online — whichever suits you. Lessons are one-to-one or in a small group of no more than four. Children and adults, complete beginners included.

Why families choose Cornucopia

We are a small academy, deliberately. Around twenty-five students across two centres and online, taught by musicians who have worked through these examinations themselves.

  • Affiliated with ABRSM (London), and we prepare students for Trinity College London examinations.
  • Groups of no more than four, so nobody sits at the back of a room waiting for a turn.
  • Teachers with real credentials — London College of Music, ABRSM Grade 8, performance experience at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall.
  • Eleven subjects across two Bengaluru centres and online worldwide.

We are not the cheapest way to learn an instrument in Bengaluru. We are trying to be the most worthwhile.

What our students say

From our Google reviews.

I joined as a beginner with no prior violin experience, Mr. Vasant helped me build my skills from scratch. The teaching is clear, supportive, and very effective. – Ranjith Kumar

At first, I was all awkward angles and squeaky bows, but the teachers never made me feel like a beginner… By the end, I wasn’t just playing notes — I was feeling them. – Cecilia Stephen

I stay in a very remote area in Dakshina Kannada where my net connections go off at times. Sir patiently makes way to connect us and takes her classes… He gives individual attention to each of his students. – Annie Saleen

Excellent teachers, dedicated. Professional training for our voice which gives us confidence. My children as well have joined the class and I’m noticing them love and enjoy the classes. – Sylvia David

A top-tier music school with talented, professional teachers. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, Cornucopia Music Academy provides a great environment to sharpen your skills. – ABRSM India

Common questions

Is the trial really free?

Yes. No fee on the day and no card details. If you decide not to continue, that is the end of it.

Do I need my own instrument?

Not for the trial. We have instruments at both centres. If you continue, we will advise you on what to buy or rent before you spend anything.

Do you teach adults?

Yes, and more than people expect. Adult beginners are common and there is no age at which it becomes too late.

What if my child has never played anything?

That is the most common way to start. Complete beginners are welcome and the trial is designed around them.

How soon can we come in?

Usually within the same week, depending on the teacher’s schedule. Message us on WhatsApp and we will find a slot.

Can the trial be online?

Yes. Online trials run exactly as in-person ones do. You will need a stable connection and a device you can prop up so we can see your hands.
