Cornucopia’s teachers are working musicians and patient mentors in equal measure. Every one of them teaches to a single standard — that a student should, in time, surpass their teacher — through personal, one-to-one attention that meets each learner exactly where they are. Alongside its instrumental and vocal faculty, the academy keeps certified music therapists on its team, because we treat music as a necessity for wellbeing, not a luxury.
Ebenezer
Founder · Strings & Theory Teaches: Violin · Viola · Cello · Music Theory
Ebenezer is the founder of Cornucopia and teaches violin, viola, cello and music theory. A string player trained through the ABRSM grades under Mr Rohan, and a veteran of school and college choirs, he has taught for around a decade — beginning with two online students and growing the academy to close to a hundred learners across two centres and online.
His teaching philosophy is simple and demanding: students should surpass their teacher. That means patient, personal, one-to-one attention and real, measurable progress over the illusion of it — the same conviction that led him to put certified music therapists on the faculty and to treat music as something everyone deserves access to.
Daniel Abraham
Daniel Abraham is a Bengaluru-based pianist and music educator who teaches piano, keyboard and music theory at Cornucopia. A full-time music teacher at Baldwin Boys’ High School, he guides students through Western classical and contemporary repertoire and prepares them for ABRSM practical and theory examinations.
A versatile multi-instrumentalist — piano his first instrument, with guitar, trumpet and saxophone alongside — Daniel brings a working musician’s ear to the studio: chord arrangement, orchestral score preparation, and the direction of choirs, worship teams and school productions. That stage and ensemble experience shapes how he teaches, grounding technique in the reality of making music with others. Patient and structured, he builds strong foundations for students of every age, from first notes to graded exams.
Daniel Thotumpuri
Daniel Thotumpuri teaches guitar, ukulele and piano at Cornucopia, and heads the music department at SKEI. Certified by the London College of Music (University of West London) and teaching since 2016, he builds students’ technique, musical understanding and performance confidence in equal measure, and guides them toward internationally recognised certifications.
An active performer as well as a teacher — bass guitarist for the band Frankincense and an accompanist for artists and productions across the city — Daniel brings the stage into the studio. His student-centred approach pairs practical musicianship with real performance opportunities — recitals, live sets and exam preparation — so learners don’t just pass grades, they play with confidence in front of an audience.
Dr Latina
Vocalist, conductor, and composer. ABRSM Grade 8 in Vocals.
Associate Conductor of Singspirations, Trichy.
In 2023, Dr Latina performed under Eric Whitacre at Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall, New York, following intensive preparation with the composer himself. In 2019, she sang under Jonathan Griffith at Carnegie Hall’s Perelman Stage, again rehearsing directly with the conductor in the lead-up. Her work outside the concert hall includes training vocal students in the United States, adjudicating Western music competitions across Tamil Nadu, and mentoring singers with a focus on both technical foundation and expressive line. As a composer and lyricist, she co-created the Official Centenary Anthem (2023) and the Fine Arts Anthem (2016) for Holy Cross College, Trichy — serving as lead singer and lyricist for both. At Cornucopia she teaches choir and vocals, bringing an unusually broad practice — international stage, classroom, adjudication panel, composition — into every lesson.
Ketirenla
Piano, Keyboard & Music Theory
Piano and keyboard teacher with over ten years of experience across students of all ages. Seven years as a church pianist underpin a practical, service-oriented musicianship — reading, accompanying, and playing in real time, not only from the page.
Her teaching is built around individualised lesson plans: each student’s pace, aims, and musical instincts shape the route through technique and repertoire. She prepares students for graded piano practical and theory examinations, and works equally with learners who play for their own enjoyment.
